Isaiah 11:6 speaks of the Millennial day, a long period where the earth where rest as Christ reigns over the righteous remaining on the earth. Says He through His prophet, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." In this painting, a child seems to me the perfect symbol of how we should follow Christ and thus be allowed to lead and live during that Millennial era. The grass and daisies represent submissiveness and innocence, respectively. May we become submissive to the Lord and innocent of sin, that we might foreshadow in joy that great period of peace!
